Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

About the Position

The Financial Application Support Coordinator ensures clients maintain the ability to complete their daily tasks and functions when faced with application problems and/or issues. The candidate will provide remote application support to school districts in areas related to district Technology systems and Business Office functions. Responsibilities include initial assessment, triage, research, and resolution of incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and/or infrastructure components. The Financial Application Support Coordinator is responsible for collecting information through a customer conversation, accessing support tools, and additional support staff (service resources) as needed. Conduct business process analysis and needs assessments to provide technology solutions to the school districts and MCSS staff. Provide leadership to school districts in areas related to district Business Office functions.

We Require

  • One year of IT experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Experience supporting customers in use of application software

  • Experience in School Business Finance, Payroll and Human Resources

  • Experience working with Infinite Visions Enterprise Edition

  • Experience using a payroll system, input methods, reporting capabilities

  • Proficiency in working with support software tools i.e., Samanage

Job Contributions

  • Conducts business process analysis and needs assessments to provide technology solutions to school districts and staff

  • Conducts needed assessments, evaluates standard operating procedures, and creates process flow documentation to provide training to school districts and IT staff

  • Manage system data backups for successful completion, off-site storage and ensure mission-critical equipment are functioning properly. As well as perform testing of new software to confirm code is functioning properly

  • Participates in development/review of security processes/procedures under supervision of Management

  • Provides, maintains, and removes security privileges for users of systems

  • Creates or modifies data-driven reports using platform software or report writing tools based on end-user needs

  • Addresses and resolves basic incidents and requests; logs all incidents and requests; engages other service desk resources or appropriate service resources to resolve incidents that are beyond the scope of their ability or responsibility

  • Creates a positive customer support experience via phone and email and builds strong relationships through deep problem understanding, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and handling customers with a consummately professional attitude

  • Analyzes and resolves incidents and requests regarding use of application software or hardware. Logs and tracks incidents and requests from identification through resolution

  • Follows up with other support staff (service resources) involved in resolution to ensure incidents are resolved, requests are filled, and the customer communication is complete

  • Determines the root cause of a problem or issue and create a solution to client issues

  • Grows general knowledge of current products, increasing ability to resolve requests on first contact. Provides after hours and on-call support as needed

  • Conducts check printing functions, reports, and file transfers

  • Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of employee information

Working Conditions

  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid Arizona driver's license

  • This position works in an office environment
