Job Overview:

The position of Senior Financial Analyst is a great opportunity to join the FP&A team within the Compression Systems & Services (CSS) business unit. The FP&A team coordinates and delivers insights to support forecasting, strategic decisions and financial operations. This candidate's primary responsibilities will be to improve SBU profitability through analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This role will leverage core competencies in corporate finance, accounting, and data analytics. The ideal candidate should be passionate about continuous improvement and concise analysis.

Responsibilities


  • SG&A reporting and analysis providing consolidation of forecasts, bridging, development of budgets, summarized commentary for management, and identification of risks and opportunities.

  • Provide financial support and implement process improvements that will drive improvements in net working capital.

  • Identify areas of improvement for the business by interpreting financial and operational metrics providing recommendations of risks, opportunities, corrective actions and focus areas to address performance issues.

  • Assist in planning for and developing standard processes for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast cycles, which may include template & presentation development.

  • Assist with loading of financial and statistical data into Hyperion.

  • Balance Sheet oversight and reporting

  • Prepare standard monthly reporting to include but not limited to: Product/margin reporting, cost center reporting, and headcount reporting with a focus on automation.

  • Support and engage in analytics projects to automate reporting sourced from the IR Data Lake.

  • Assist with the monthly close process, which may include preparation of journal entries, analysis and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely financial results with the ability to drive process improvement.

  • Perform various ad hoc financial analysis to support management business decisions

  • Partner with, but not limited to CSS GM, VP Finance, VP Product Management, VP Engineering and various Finance teams.



Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.



Preferences:


  • Experience with Microsoft Suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Experience with data analytics technology solutions such as Tableau, Alteryx etc. is preferred.

  • Strong financial acumen, analytical, problem solving, data management and business partnership skills required.

  • Experience with Oracle or SAP and Financial Consolidation Systems preferred.

  • Should have the ability to identify and investigate trends and potential issues.

  • Must be energetic, forward thinking, and creative.

  • Must be detail-oriented and deadline sensitive.

  • High ethical standards.
