The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). * Specimen Collection & Preparation * Collect blood, urine, or tissue samples (if trained or certified) * Label and process specimens to ensure proper identification and handling * Conducting Laboratory Tests * Perform routine and specialized lab tests using microscopes, analyzers, and other instruments * Follow established protocols and quality standards * Data Recording & Analysis * Document and analyze test results accurately * Report results to the appropriate provider or supervisor for review * Equipment Operation & Maintenance * Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment * Troubleshoot basic equipment issues * Quality Control & Compliance * Monitor tests for accuracy and validity Education Benefits: Caring For Your Family and Your Career
