Status: Full-Timepermanent position (40 hours) Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F Location: Will report daily at Sentara Health Plan AvMed Miami- 3470 NW 82nd Avenue, Suite #1100, Doral FL 33122 Job Description Summary: Mailroom Clerks perform a range of tasks related to the handling, sorting, and distribution of mail for AvMed. Including sorting and delivery of incoming mail by department and/or employee to ensure timely distribution. Maintains records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information. And other duties as assigned. Education: HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED Certification/Licenses: None required Experience: Basic experience of simple office / operational systems REQUIRED Prior Mailroom experience preferred Must have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Word, Excel, Outlook Comfortable working/interacting with people at all levels With excellent verbal and written communication skills in English With excellent attendance record AvMed is one of Florida's oldest and largest not-for-profit health plans headquartered in Miami,Florida with over 50 years of experience focused on providing quality cost-effective plans andexcellent Member services.
