JOB SUMMARY

Quality Gage Lab Tech position is a full-time role in the Quality engineering department. The job details managing Senior Bartlett's gage trak software and documentation for all relative traceability/calibration for its' certified production fixture gages. The position will work closely with the Quality department, Engineering teams, and other Production resources to ensure QMS compliance. Participation in audits and certifications will be provided during on-the-job training. Collaboration with outside services for calibration of devices and control of these needs will be additional responsibilities for the technician.

KEY RESULTS AREAS

Internal/External Quality Issues



  • Assist in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Additional quality support for the operations' teams. Understanding of GD&T, 6 sigma, 8D analysis, 5 - Why, amongst other methods to facilitate corrective actions and process improvement, are all areas this role will be trained and gain experience in. Knowledge and Adherence to GAAP and Senior's Financial Policies, processes, and Procedures.


QMS Gage Lab Control & Management



  • Ensure compliance to all QMS certification and requirements for fixture gages, tools, standards, amongst other tooling devices. Ensure collection of the quality control devices are scheduled and maintained according to the identified frequencies for which the units are to be calibrated.


Document Control



  • Control and management of the database for which all quality control fixtures, tools, gages, etc. must be kept accordingly to Senior's QMS standards.


Continuous Improvement



  • Collect data and perform analysis to improve supplier's current processes. Work with quality engineering as support to implement changes, which effectively improve the QMS. Facilitate the need for project activities that support company's strategic objectives.


Certification & Calibration



  • Ability to certify tools to standards, ensuring all labeling, document control and other necessary process are maintained within the Gage Laboratory. Proficiency with calibration of tools (Micrometer, Leak standard, torque wrench, pressure gage, multimeters Mass spec etc.) Certified Calibration Technician is plus. NIST traceability familiarity.


Data Collection/Project Assistance



  • New program development, engineering changes, and or other production related items which require Gage Lab Technician are completed and supported.


EDUCATION



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (in process), or a technical degree.


EXPERIENCE



  • 1+ years of quality experience in manufacturing (automotive preferred).

    • PPAP, 5 Whys, 8D methodology


  • Lead auditor/internal auditor.

    • 6 Sigma (optional), certified calibration technician




Technical Skills



  • Microsoft Office/Minitab
  • GD&T/blueprints
  • Statistical analysis
