DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will help with scheduling, planning, and leading a variety of recreational and educational activities, such as bingo, bowling, picnics, outings, and table games. These activities are designed to enhance residents' socialization, self-esteem, and self-help skills. You will be required to maintain adequate inventory of therapeutic activity supplies and equipment, which will include initiating purchase requisitions for planned activities. You will also create a safe and pleasant atmosphere for residents and visitors. As a member of our care team, you will need to observe resident behavior in order to provide information on resident progress, strengths, and needs.

- Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work schedule will consist of rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title); or
- Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
