Your role
As a Product Sales Development Manager, your mission is to be the primary regional contact for product and application related activity with global product management group including industrial application guidance, technical support, pricing structure, marketing plans, new product launch, and product training. You will report to the Business Line Manager - Industrial Vacuum.
You will
- Has primary regional responsibility for the Leybold Industrial Vacuum Product range
- Aids Technical Support group for product related questions.
- Works in concert with Applications team to aid in recommendation of vacuum equipment required for known and emerging applications.
- Train customers (in-house and off-site) on proper application of Leybold products and various Industrial applications.
- Active support role to the NA Leybold Sales Channels and Sales Support functions providing:
- Joint Customer visits/ conference calls to aid in training of all above points and identifying potential vacuum opportunities.
- Prepares materials for presentations and makes key product presentations with account managers.
- Supports new applications, startup assistance, and qualifications at customer site during test phase.
- Develops application knowledge of Leybold products and how they are used
- Develops a working knowledge of the Industrial Vacuum Product competition (product and pricing) to input to global product management and to assist in development of value-added sales message.
- Marketing - aid in definition and prioritization of messaging in cooperation with NA and Global Marketing
- Develops detailed understanding of Market Position and Market Share. Defines clear picture of total available market for HV product portfolio within North America.
- Support regional warranty claim decisions.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 3-5 years of Vacuum Industry and Industrial Sales preferred
- B.S. degree in a technical related discipline is preferred, or equivalent experience in technical product marketing or product management support role.
- Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions to exceptional problems outside the box.
- Self-motivates, independent, flexible, organized, and methodical.
- Results driven: Utilize ambition and effort to achieve results and accept accountability.
- Be adaptable in a new environment.
- Strong application experience with MS office software programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Domestic and international travel frequently 50% or more, often overnight and multiple days.
