As a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Regions Hospital, you'll find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 100,000 ED visits per year. Regions Hospital is one of only three hospitals in Minnesota that is verified as a Level I Trauma Center for both adults and for children with the expertise and technology to treat the most serious injuries 24/7. In addition to Regions Hospital, this role will work at Lakeview Hospital (Level III Trauma Center) and Hudson Hospital (Level IV Trauma Center).

The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care including obtaining histories, examining patients, ordering appropriate labs and X-rays, performing minor procedures, discussing treatment plans and following up with patients and their families.

Work Schedule:



  • Days/evenings/nights, including weekdays and weekends.


Required Qualifications:



  • Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Physician Assistant certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current Minnesota and Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
  • ACLS/ATLS.
  • DEA eligibility (verified during credentialing).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Three years of experience in ED/Emergency Medicine or urgent care.
  • PALS.
  • Advanced training in Emergency Medicine.


Additional Information:

This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day/evening/night position working in Saint Paul, MN, Stillwater, MN, and Hudson, WI. The full salary range for this position is $139,900.80-$149,489.60 annually, based on experience, plus shift differentials. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
