The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) of the RWJBarnabas Health System (RWJBH) is presently recruiting for a Medical Physicist to join our radiation oncology team. The successful candidate will join three other medical physicists in providing clinical physics services in support of 4 radiation oncologists. CBMC is a 577-bed non-profit major teaching hospital located in Livingston, NJ. It is the oldest and largest nonprofit, nonsectarian hospital in New Jersey. CBMC is located in a top school district in NJ and is a 35-minute train ride to Manhattan. The spectrum of radiotherapy procedures provided at CBMC includes IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, SRS and SBRT, HDR Brachytherapy applications, and other procedures, such as Sir-Sphere, Xofigo, Lutathera, Pluvicto, and GammaTile. Equipment includes Varian Halcyon, Varian Truebeam, Elekta infinity with Agility MLC, Cyberknife M6, and Elekta Microselectron afterloader; Treatment planning systems includes Eclipse, Oncentra and Precision; EMR include Aria and Mosaiq. The radiation oncology department will be moving to the newly constructed Melchiorre Cancer Center located on the CBMC Campus at the end of 2025. This state-of-the-art facility will allow candidates to work on the most cutting-edge technology available, including an Elekta Unity MRLinac with Monaco treatment planning, two Varian TrueBeams, two CT Simulators, and an Elekta Flexitron afterloader. A full suite of new state-of-the-art QA equipment to support the new department will be available. The CBMC Radiation Oncology department is an active site for residency rotations for the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Medical Physicist Training Program, as well as for Medical Residents.
