Department Summary:

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is part of Boston Children's Hospital, ranked as one of the top children's hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. We provide families with individualized treatment plans and access to more specialized care than any other hospital. We offer state-of-the-art, family-centered care for our patients using a team approach with physicians from different specialties, advanced-care providers, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and registered dietitians.

Key responsibilities:
  • Working in our busy Gastrointestinal clinic caring for infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
  • Receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments.
  • Facilitating patient flow through the clinic.
  • Collecting, verifying and recording required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
  • Assisting clinician during examinations; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights and lengths. Collecting specimens.
  • Performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic, including supply inventory, and ordering and auditing clinic supplies and formula.
  • Staggered start times, M-F, 730a, 8a, 830a.
Minimum qualifications:
Education:

HS diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1 year of Clinical Assistant experience requiredPediatrics experience preferred.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
