Title: Parent Peer Professional Coordinator $52,208.00 - $88,316.80/ Posted Thru: 7/26/2025 Location: Hybrid - Must work and live in the state of Michigan Purpose: This position will assist with the outreach , expansion of and the development of parent and youth peer continuum of services including Parent Support Partner and Youth Peer Support. As a parent or caregiver with lived experience, this position is designed to gather feedback from those with lived experience and implement that feedback within impacted policies and programs. This position will partner with the BCCHPS Peer Services Outreach and Expansion Analyst and Association for Children's Mental Health to develop the peer delivered services continuum for children, youth and their families. This position will also support the incorporation of family voice with the Bureau of Children's Coordinated Health Policy and Supports through participation in policy development and collaboration with Bureau partners around service enhancement. Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree required. Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement. Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis. Experience: A parent or primary caregiver who is raising or has raised a child/youth with emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health challenges. Important Skills and Characteristics:
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: The position may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment of <50# and involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 25% to 75% o f the time. Standard office environment. May require valid vehicle operator's license to perform duties of the position. Travel within the state, as needed, including Upper Peninsula; anticipated to travel for the project technical assistance meetings (out of state) as scheduled.
