Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This position is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience who is eager to expand their accounting knowledge in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will support core accounting functions including general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. You'll also work cross-functionally to support audits, assist with tax-related duties, and ensure accurate and timely financial data. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data. Prepare and track prepaid expenses, accruals, and other routine adjustments. Assist with bank reconciliations and cash activity monitoring. Support internal and external audits by maintaining proper documentation and responding to auditor requests. Assist in preparation of tax schedules and other tax-related filings. Help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Provide variance analysis and support ad-hoc financial reporting as needed. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is properly recorded and classified. Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress). 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and general ledger structure. Experience supporting the monthly close process and preparing reconciliations. Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (Workday experience is a plus). Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
