Public Policy Team

The mission of Vantage Data Centers' Global Public Policy team is to help deliver the best possible digital infrastructure for the world's leading technology companies. Global Public Policy is responsible for Vantage Data Centers' government relations, economic development, and community engagement. The team partners with our New Site Development, Construction, Engineering, Legal, Tax, People, Operations, and other departments to grow market share, acquire and retain customers, navigate through regulatory and policy developments, mitigate risk, and expand into new geographies. Position Overview

This role can be based in Denver, CO, following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible). As well as West Texas and Port Washington, WI.

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will help implement and grow Vantage's community engagement strategy and visibility across North America. This role will support relationship-building, program execution, and local stakeholder engagement that aligns with Vantage's values-Trust, Accountability, Respect, and Agility-and contributes to the long-term success of our projects and partnerships.

You'll work closely with our Public Policy, Construction, New Site Development, Legal, People, and Operations teams to help identify opportunities for impact, elevate community voices, and position Vantage as a good corporate citizen across all stages of the data center lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of delivering results, creative problem solving, and commitment to building a good reputation that stands the test of time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of Vantage's North American community engagement strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Coordinate and manage local engagement efforts-such as planning and executing on community events, workforce development partnerships, sponsorships, volunteer initiatives, and site-based programs.

  • Develop and maintain a current stakeholder map of nonprofit organizations, schools, chambers, local officials, and workforce boards in key markets.

  • Help organize and attend community-facing meetings and events; capture key takeaways, support follow-ups, and track progress.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of engagement efforts, outcomes, and key performance indicators for program evaluation and compliance efforts; assist with reporting and presentations for internal and external audiences.

  • Monitor regional community and stakeholder sentiment in both new and existing markets; flag potential opportunities or concerns.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Public Policy, and Operations to ensure messaging and execution are aligned across teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, nonprofit partnerships, or public affairs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build trust across diverse communities.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments and regions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools; experience with CRM or impact reporting tools a plus.

  • Flexibility to travel for site visits, events, or stakeholder meetings as needed (anticipated up to 25%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting community programs in regulated industries, capital-intensive sectors, or infrastructure development.

  • Comfort navigating both grassroots and executive-level engagement.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on CO market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
