Inova Mt. Vernon outpatient rehab department is looking to add a dynamic Physical Therapist to our growing team. This is a full time opportunity to work along side other clinicians while we take care of our patients. We are looking for an energetic and passionate therapist who ideally has experience working with adults in an outpatient center.

Physical Therapist (PT) Job Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
  • Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
  • License: Physical Therapist upon start
  • Experience: No experience needed
  • Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association


Preferred Requirements:



  • Experience in an outpatient setting working with adult neuro patients
