Student Kitchen Support

We are accepting applications for this
position from all students regardless of work study award.

Position Summary:

Work under the supervision of the Cooks at the UNM
Children's Campus while performing various duties related to preparing food, storing food, cleaning area as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Must help with all activities related to preparing food in a commercial kitchen.

2. Must attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and
in-service days.

3. Must help with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area, including machines

4. Will work with commercial dish washer, and other commercial kitchen appliances.

5. Other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

1. Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship
with other kitchen staff.

2. Must be able to implement the use of basic first aid and
other emergency measures.

3. Must be able to solve ongoing problems under close
supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experiences working with food prep or in food service

2. Experience working in an Early Childhood Care setting.

3. CPR/First Aid Certification

4. Knowledge safe food preparation and storage
