PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

This position will be responsible for overseeing the development and performance of GROWMARK's proprietary portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall investment goals and risk management strategies.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads and develops the Biological Product Mgr.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Formulate and implement strategies for proprietary portfolio investments to achieve optimal returns.

Responsible for the product development and sales strategies around the plant performance product category which will include biologicals and the intersection with carbon programs.

Will lead initiatives to develop and implement carbon offset projects, while collaborating with stakeholders to identify potential projects, conducting feasibility analyses, and ensuring compliance with carbon credit certification standards.

Lead and manage carbon offset and biological restoration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Analyze market trends and investment opportunities to identify areas for growth and improvement.

Oversee the day-to-day management of the proprietary portfolio.

Coordinate with analysts and team members to evaluate current investments and make data-driven decisions.

Monitor portfolio performance regularly and assess the effectiveness of investment strategies.

Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports to stakeholders and executive management.

Develop risk assessment models to evaluate and mitigate potential risks associated with portfolio advancements.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding investment activities.

Coordinate with Seed Division and where it aligns with mutually beneficial outcomes withing the Proprietary Portfolio and manufacturers.

Lead and effectively communicate direction and collaboration with sales and marketing staff.

Collaborate with other departments, such as research, compliance, and legal, to ensure holistic portfolio management.

Communicate investment strategies and portfolio performance to internal and external stakeholders.

Engage with investors by presenting investment opportunities and responding to inquiries about portfolio performance.

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market conditions, economic indicators, and industry trends to guide investment decisions.

Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in asset management.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Participates in meetings with member cooperatives, suppliers, and Agronomy meetings as required.

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred), and a minimum of 8 years of experience in portfolio management or asset management with a focus on proprietary investments.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

Proven strong leadership skills including professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.

Proven ability to develop and implement effective investment strategies.

Proficient in portfolio management software and financial analysis tools.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability to travel independently and overnight within the US and Canada.

Must have a valid passport.

Demonstrated planning and organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, prioritize work, and deal with deadlines with proven "attention to detail" skills.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
