We are looking for a detail-focused Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform essential machine setup and maintenance tasks, ensuring precision and compliance with industry safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of CNC tooling, be able to interpret engineering drawings and measurement instruments, and follow ISO and company-specific quality control procedures. Key responsibilities include verifying program revisions, setting tooling offsets, maintaining clear communication logs, and accurately documenting all production activities. Strong attention to safety and effective communication skills are critical to support our commitment to operational excellence in the oil and gas sector. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform basic machine set-up, including checks for Revision of Program, correct material, and quantity required. Set initiation position for machine home and tooling offsets.
  • Follow machine operation procedures according to written drawings, prints, or verbal orders.
  • Have a basic understanding of CNC tooling and their applications.
  • Interpret Engineering drawings with a basic understanding of print reading.
  • Read and interpret micrometers, calipers and thread gauges properly.
  • Follow shop safety standards and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily machine maintenance, including checking machine fluid levels, lifting devices for wear and tear, cleaning chips and debris from area and notify supervisor of potential issues on tooling requirements.
  • Follow company Quality Control standards. Interpret and apply ISO standards where required.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork and utilize electronic time keeping hardware/ software.
  • Maintain a communication log at the machine to record all alarms and issues encountered during the shift, and provide clear communications between shifts, both written and verbal.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year plus of related work experience required.
  • Basic CNC machining class work or certificate preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License with good driving record required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

  • Typical machine shop environment including exposure to sharp edges, pinch points, powered rotating equipment, shavings, chips, dust, fumes, chemicals and noise. Safety glasses with side shields and steel toed boots/shoes required to be worn at all times. Face shield when required.
