Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under general supervision, operate power saws to cut castings from gates and runners in accordance with quality standards. Ensures that documentation, tooling and parts are correctly matched to paperwork.

OBJECTIVE:
To set up and operate various saws and other type cutting systems to remove the raw casting from the gates, risers, runners and cups conforming to visual and dimensional specifications on technique cards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment under general supervision.
* Perform visual and dimensional inspection of castings per part grade levels. May use such measuring devices as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
* Work is subject to final inspection and check.
* Capable to used main computer system to locate fixtures and mount to meet department efficiency criteria.
* Adjusts equipment to obtain optimum running condition.
* Inspects own parts for surface distortion and imperfections such as flow lines, air traps, bubbles, cracks, breaks, sinks, excess flash, non-fill and porous condition.
* Must demonstrate good eye hand coordination.
* Performs related work of equal or lesser skill level as assigned.
* Maintains accurate records of work performed.
* Meets all production and quality standards. Follow set OPC's and QCP's.
* Performs all other duties assigned.

OTHER GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Trains less skilled personnel as assigned.
* Performs all work required to achieve Plant goals.
* A variety of circular and band saws, Jet-Arc gate removal and other powered cutting units.
* Lifting devices (Lift tables, Cranes, Forklifts, etc)
* Various hand tools (Hammer, Wrench, Measuring devices, Clippers, Scissors, etc.)

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Training is provided on the job and may be documented by Verbal, Written, or Practical Testing.
* Specialized training in the use, power settings and proper use of Band saws, Circular saw, and Jet-Arc.
* Specialized Haz-Mat for respirator and caustic chemicals.
* Experience and/or training are included in considerations.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follow and interpret instructions on technique cards, code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
* Ability to use simple to moderately complex measuring devices and fixtures.
* Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $17.25 to $26.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
