The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to medically manage complex patients within our 26-bed Medical ICU located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works with pulmonary & critical care faculty in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team including members of the teaching service, and will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. This position will provide a broad range of diagnostic & therapeutic services for the patients of the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care. The Ideal Candidate has a passion for Critical Care medical management looking to be part of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). This position will require 12-hour rotating day shifts with expectations for some weekends & holidays, as well as overnight shifts approximately 2 times per month. Scheduling flexibility is required to provide an appropriate level of patient care coverage. Preferred Experience: Prior APP/RN Critical Care experience a plus! Minimum Education: Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing Minimum Requirements: *or eligible Advanced Practice Nurse Physician Assistant Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Wisconsin Physician Assistant License Wisconsin RN License Certification by NCCPA Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, DEA Acute Care AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, DEA CITI Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire, FCCS Course completion within first 6 months
