Schedule: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

What You'll Do

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) will facilitate effective staffing for the Health Force WNY Buffalo and Niagara, NY offices. The TAS will convey the company culture to new hires, implement recognitions programs, develop communication tools and become the main point of contact with their recruits and local staff. The TAS will assess the company's staffing needs and recruit talented individuals to fill these needs. The TAS will work in conjunction with branch leadership and recruiting, to ensure appropriate staffing levels. The TAS will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and supporting the ongoing personnel/employment regulatory compliance requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Talent Attraction & Sourcing



  • Build a robust pipeline through creative sourcing strategies and community partnerships
  • Represent Health Force WNY at job fairs, career events, and professional networking opportunities
  • Develop innovative recruiting campaigns that attract top-tier healthcare professionals


Full-Cycle Recruitment Management



  • Guide candidates through our seamless hiring process from application to first day
  • Conduct engaging interviews that assess both skills and cultural alignment
  • Manage the full pre-employment process ensuring all requirements are completed accurately and on time


Culture Ambassador



  • Showcase why Health Force WNY is Buffalo's premier healthcare employer
  • Create positive candidate experiences that reflect our values of compassion and excellence
  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain our reputation as an employer of choice


Compliance & Excellence



  • Maintain meticulous records to ensure regulatory readiness
  • Partner with HR and leadership to optimize hiring processes and achieve staffing goals


What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications



  • Proven recruiting experience with demonstrable success in healthcare or service industries
  • Advanced interviewing skills with ability to assess both technical competence and cultural fit
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and recruiting events
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
  • Technical proficiency with ATS systems, MS Office Suite, and recruiting platforms


Preferred Qualifications



  • Education: Associate's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years recruiting experience, ideally in healthcare, home care, or home health. Experience recruiting licensed and non-licensed clinical staff strongly preferred.
  • Experience with reference checks, credentialing processes, and compliance requirements
  • Background in healthcare recruiting or human services
  • Event planning and community outreach experience

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based with frequent travel to branch locations along with other local locations for recruitment events and new hire orientations. Expect extensive computer use, regular phone and virtual meetings, and occasional light lifting.
