2026 Accounting and Finance Summer Internships

Would you like to get hands-on work experience in the fields of Accounting or Finance?We are looking for students to support a variety of Finance and Accounting projects at our Newark, DE; Elkton, MD; Flagstaff, AZ; and Phoenix, AZ facilities in the summer of 2025.

We are looking for talented individuals who have demonstrated the initiative to apply finance fundamentals to financial challenges and successfully navigated ambiguity to solve problems and deliver results.In this role you will partner with the Gore Accounting and Finance teams focused on a common goal.Ability to support the operating and financial plans required to achieve leaderships strategic plan.

This position could be located at one of our facilities in Flagstaff, AZ, Phoenix, AZ, Newark, DE, or Elkton, MD. There may be a possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $23 - $28 per hour
  • Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

As a Gore intern, you will work on projects that leverage the skills you are developing in your field of study.You will be introduced to the core values and unique culture that Gore embodies while working in a team-oriented environment. You will be encouraged to network and build relationships across functions and plants as well as with other interns. Organized networking opportunities will be planned throughout the summer to help you make connections.

As a member of the Gore Accounting and Finance team you will play a key role in supporting the operating and financial plans required to achieve leadership's strategic plan. In addition, you will analyze impacts of new accounting standards, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards on existing and new transactions. Through this work you will add value to the organization by advising leadership on decisions such as how to improve performance, minimize risk or capture new opportunities.

Internexperiencesmay span various areas of AccountingorFinance:

Examples of Intern experiences - Finance:

  • Analyze business and financial data including Profit and loss and balance sheet
  • Develop financial reporting of actual performance vs. plan including variance explanations
  • Use metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance
  • Use financial modeling to evaluate business opportunities, determine resource allocation, and seek to achieve acceptable level of return on investment
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for conveying financial results and data insights

Examples of Intern experiences - Accounting:

  • Gain a general understanding of accounting and operations through on-the-job training
  • Participate in internal audits of fixed assets
  • Assist in preparing balance sheet account reconciliations (AR, AP, accruals, leases, fixed assets, inventory, etc.)
  • Partner with various functions throughout the Enterprise to maintain the accuracy and compliance of financial data
  • Assist with research, troubleshooting, correction of errors, process improvement, and maintenance of accurate financial records

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of at least the junior year in a bachelor's program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Math, or Data Science
  • Enthusiasm for digging into projects and successfully applying financial concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to make connections, build relationships, and create an inclusive environment
  • Demonstration of curiosity and initiative that leads to deeper understanding
  • Evidence of good judgment to work through ambiguity and challenges, and to address errors
  • Ability to be a resourceful and active learner
  • Ability to prioritize and drive projects or initiatives through to completion
  • Ability to work independently, as well as partner with others
  • Ability to commit to a (minimum) 10-week summer internship
