Staff Accountant

Salary $55-65,000

• Broad-based financial role with a wide range of responsibilities including support of the site facilities. In addition, must interact regularly with plant manager and other site personnel on key accounting and operational issues.
• Assist Accounting Supervisor with month-end close for their sites, which includes but is not limited to required journal entries, variance analysis and trend research, along with any other topics that may arise.
• Ensure site maintains compliance with appropriate internal controls.
• Support with continuous improvement in the areas of accounting operations and financial reporting processes/systems.
• Analyze and review high quality and timely balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Interface with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to assist in providing analysis to management on monthly financial results, including the integration of both financial and operational metrics to ensure the accuracy of plant financial reporting.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external audit teams to ensure effective and accurate reporting for prompt decision-making.
• Liaise with IT function to assure proper IT controls for processes managed by the position.
• Assist in integration activities related to key areas of responsibility.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Recommended 1 year of solid experience in accounting for a manufacturing company.
• Results driven, analytical, self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to logically identify solutions or approaches to complex problems.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making ability.
• Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
