In addition to handling core operational functions such as invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and delinquency management, this role is empowered to design and build internal programs (such as quality assurance) and to work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to influence and enhance backend tools used by operations.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, systems-minded individual who is comfortable bridging execution with strategy and helping shape scalable, tech-enabled operational processes.

What You'll Do

Transactional & Core Operational Execution

  • Oversee a 50 person BPO team in managing daily factoring operations, including carrier account setup, invoice submission and verification, funding, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, resolving discrepancies and coordinating with internal teams for issue resolution.
  • Oversee and evolve past-due invoice management strategies to reduce delinquency and optimize cash flow.

Collections Management

  • Lead collections process design and daily execution across all delinquency stages.
  • Support and oversee a small team of BPO collections specialists, including onboarding, training, QA, and case escalation.
  • Handle high-risk or complex payment challenges, engaging directly with clients or debtors as needed.

Program & Process Ownership

  • Build and launch foundational operational programs such as Quality Assurance frameworks to drive consistency and compliance.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and review mechanisms for process quality and BPO adherence.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and standardization across teams.

Product & Engineering Partnership

  • Act as an operational voice in backend product development by surfacing user pain points, inefficiencies, and feature needs.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to test, validate, and iterate on new tools and enhancements supporting operational workflows.
  • Champion internal tools adoption by creating feedback loops and process documentation.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze key operational metrics including invoice turnaround times, funding accuracy, collection success rates, and QA performance.
  • Generate and present insights, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making.

The Skills and Experience You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, AR/AP, collections, or process optimization; experience in a startup or tech-forward environment a plus
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools, and basic SQL or systems querying
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with Product/Engineering teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail, process thinking, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear documentation and cross-team alignment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and motivated to build from the ground up
  • Exposure to collections, logistics finance, or B2B payments preferred
