| SUMMARY  Mortenson's Data Center Operating Group is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise; along with the capability to creatively problem-solve and bring together viable solutions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important. The Assistant Superintendent will provide coordination and supervision of subcontractors and craft team members within a particular construction discipline. RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Manage project labor (craft labor, subcontractors)Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reportsReview and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft rolesParticipate in site orientation training, first hour orientation, and site safety meetingsCoordinate review and approval of craft worker timecardsParticipate in hire and dismissal process of craft workersCoordinate on-site operations/Scope of Work (Equipment, Labor, Schedule)Provide guidance on activities including set-up, work in-place, and project closeout/demobilizationSupport and participate with Project Managers on schedule development and updatesCoordinate with equipment facility and outside equipment providers for project equipment, i.e. cranes, trailers, trucks, Conexus, etc.Review and verify quantity takeoffs and materials management process during the buyout process for specific scopes of workManage scope(s) of work Production and Innovation BoardsManage scope(s) of work Plan of Day (POD) activitiesSupport Safety Manager and/or Engineer with site safety audits, worker to worker observations, etc.Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractors' workResponsible for the orientation, training, and timely performance evaluation of craft workers, including performance management process if necessaryOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS 
 Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceMinimum five years construction supervision or related experienceProven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projectsOrganize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesMicrosoft Office, project and pertinent web application skillsProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesCurrent Driver's license A few benefits offered include:  (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
