Job Overview The Supervisor, Quality Assurance (QA) will lead and develop assigned quality personnel and provide guidance for cross-functional teams to support the quality and food safety requirements of the products produced and shipped from their location. This role also supports and enforces the certification, regulatory, customer, and brand requirements as outlined by the business and implements continuous improvement projects to meet these requirements.Duties & Responsibilities 
     
 Supervise, lead, and motivatea team on the manufacturing floor and QA Lab to deliver results by communicating company goals;including quality and customer satisfaction, safety practices, and deadlinesEngage and developteammates through effective performance management, coaching, and trainingImplement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embodycompany purpose and values to inspire servant leadershipManageand supportthe Consolidated Management System (CMS) program that ensures company quality assurance specifications, and regulatory requirements are met; understand and support the documentation, training, and organizational requirements for maintaining a globally recognized quality and food safety certification; serve as the program owner, and perform internal audits of the program elementsManagethe processing of laboratory data, monitorthe data for accuracy through exception reporting, analyzethe data, recognizeunfavorable trends, and makes process improvement recommendationsSupportand assistin audits from internal and external regulatory, certification, customer, and or brand owner sources
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 
     
 Manufacturing experience and Food Industry knowledgeFamiliarity with lab equipment and testing within a manufacturing environmentMath and analytical skills and problem-solving abilityComputer skills including MS Office, statistical software, SAP, Kronos preferredKnowledge of sanitation and beverage processesFamiliar with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) TechnologyKnowledge of microbial and aseptic techniquesAbility to multitask in team development, time management, and effective communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needsAbility to stand for extended periods of time; walking manufacturing floor; climbing stairs, and lift, up to 25lbs
Minimum Qualifications 
     
 Associate's degree or up to 3 years of college or technical schoolKnowledge acquired through 1 -3 years of work experienceBiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Health Sciences
Preferred Qualifications Degree or experience in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Health Sciences Food safety and Quality Assurance experience, with beverage manufacturing experience a plus.
