Range Scheduler - 96 OSS LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL JOB STATUS: Full-Time CLEARANCE: Secret CERTIFICATION: TRAVEL: Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Range Scheduler - 96 OSS located at Eglin AFB, FL supporting the TMAS2 Contract 96th Test Wing (TW). The Range Scheduler supports the 96th Operations Support Squadron in planning and coordinating range resources for multiple DoD departments, Air Force Major Commands, and a wide variety of developmental and operational test units. This role is critical to enabling the development and testing of new capabilities for the U.S. Air Force in a dynamic, high-tempo environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of managing complex schedules to ensure safe and efficient mission execution. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- *Must hold an active Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required*
- Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline and 3-10 years of experience, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong computer proficiency with advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities, including professional radio communication skills.
- Strong listening skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement of scheduling processes, tools, and templates to support accurate reporting and strategic decision-making.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in scheduling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- 3+ years' experience scheduling missions or range resources.
- Prior experience in Department of Defense organizations.
- Working knowledge of 96 TW Information Systems, particularly the Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the development and management of the Eglin Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) test and training mission schedule.
- Provide schedule management support for MRTFB test, training, and exercise programs, including program planning, mission prioritization, range resource assignments, and mission execution.
- Use the Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE) system to deconflict and schedule missions requiring land ranges, restricted/warning airspace, and other test and training resources.
- Conduct critical path and risk analyses, including "what-if" scenario planning to mitigate delays and maximize efficiency.
- Integrate 100+ daily mission submittals into a consolidated schedule that optimizes resource use while minimizing conflicts.
- Communicate with personnel from the USAF, US Navy, US Army, AFRL, other DoD/non-DoD agencies, and commercial test organizations to provide scheduling assistance and resolve conflicts.
- Participate in mission planning meetings and briefings, providing insight on high-priority events, resource limitations, and scheduling challenges.
- Support Test Engineers and Mission Submitters in developing accurate and valid mission submittals prior to deadlines.
- Maintain documentation of range usage, mission change requests, and scheduling records for reporting and planning purposes.
