The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Food Service Worker is responsible for assembly, disbursement and clean-up of any food and/or nourishment item for patient, employee and visor of Food Services. They are responsible for performing the sanitation in support of these procedures. The Food Service Worker is responsible for tray delivery, pick-up and menu collection.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 1-3 years prior food service experience

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shifts vary: 6:30am-3:00pm, 7:00am-3:30pm, and 11:00am-7:30pm
  • Rotating weekends
  • Full Time

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble, disbursement and clean up of food and beverages in a timely manner in order to meet required deadlines
  • Ensures patients receive temperature appropriate food by following time frames on truck delivery schedule
  • Ensures that assigned work station is set up and supplies replenished prior to the end of shift
  • Follows all procedures for tray line delivery / retrieval and standards of conduct for tray passers when on patient units
  • Greets all patients / visitors and staff in a friendly manner
  • Perform necessary sanitation assigned by supervisor or management in compliance with sanitary guidelines
  • Reads menus accurately and places correct food items on a patient tray with minimum errors as audited by supervisor
  • Refers all patients request / preferences / opportunities for improvement to supervisor, dietician / technician or diet office staff as appropriate
