 This position will supportthe Valley - West Region. The Valley - West Region is currently comprised of UCLA
 Health Calabasas Imaging Center, UCLA Health Westlake Village Women's Imaging
 Center, UCLA Health Encino Interventional and Imaging Center and UCLA Thousand
 Oaks Primary & Specialty Care. This position participates in on-call,
 holiday, and weekend schedules, prepared by the manager and supports one of the
 medical centers in the UCLA Health system. Additionally, participation in
 rotating shifts is required, as needed.

 In this role, you will: 
    
 
     Provide age-appropriate assessment andinterventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served
Obtain, evaluate and use information fromthe patient requisition, medical records, referring physician and
 correlate with acquired images
Use cognitive sonographic skills, toidentify and differentiate anatomy and pathology
Use independent judgement to producediagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems
 for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians
Extend courtesy to our patients, familymembers, visitors and co-workers through our "World Class Practices"

 Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Currentcareer ladder level.
 External Candidates: Staff Sonographer: 
    
 
     One to two years experience within thehospital / acute care setting
Must maintain active RDMS certification inone specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN
Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasoundprogram is strongly preferred
Salary Range: $58.74 - $77.50 Hourly 
 Senior Sonographer (Advancement into Senior Sonographer jobclassification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health):
 
    
 
     Minimum of four years of prior experiencewithin the hospital / acute care setting
Must maintain Active RDMS certification inthree specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT
Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric andVascular Sonography. Additionally, proficiency in interventional
 procedures
Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasoundschool is strongly preferred
Salary Range: $65.55 - $79.93 Hourly 
 Salary Range (Staff through Senior): $58.74 - $79.93 Hourly Qualifications

 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience - required (Advancement into Senior job classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health)RDMS credential in Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT - requiredExperience in Breast Ultrasound Imaging - strongly preferred
 General Requirements 
     
 BLS/CPR Certificate - requiredGraduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program - strongly preferredAAS or higher in Medical Sonography - preferredRDMS (AB or OBGYN) - minimum requirementStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accuratelyAbility to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted timeAbility to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughnessBasic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
