Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics and defense.

We are presently seeking an Human Resources Manager in our Boulder, Colorado facility that will provide leadership and HR generalist support to the employees and management of the site. This individual will partner with internal clients to develop/implement HR programs and processes that build organizational capability to meet business needs. This individual will also be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating policies and programs covering employment, organization development, compensation administration, labor relations, interactions with external clients such as regulatory agencies and communication for the site.

Main responsibilities:



  • Set direction and vision for all aspects of Excelitas, Boulder human resources function.
  • Responsible for human resource planning and strategizing: including setting short term and longer term human resources objectives, recruitment and retention strategies, compensation, and internal employee communication.
  • Actively participate in the Site Leadership team;
  • Develop performance measurements for key performance indicators including performance management, turnover, and hiring objectives present evaluation and results to site leadership team;
  • Act as a coach and mentor to the Site Leadership team and providing ongoing feedback, evaluation tools, training and team building as needed;
  • Act as a coach and mentor to the Site human resources team;
  • Provide coaching and training to managers & supervisors on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, training, motivation, etc.;


  • Analyzes training needs and implements plans and programs to meet defined needs and ISO requirements.


  • Ensure organizational compliance to regulatory, ethics, etc.;
  • Acts as an impartial advocate to ensure individuals receive fair and equitable treatment in balance with needs of the business.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree related area preferred;
  • Minimum 10 years general human resource management experience;
  • PHR or SPHR preferred;
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee;
  • Our hiring criteria meets the requirements of the OLF.
