How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. Responsibilities: Presbyterian is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will ensure the successful transmission of images to PACS while scheduling ultrasound cases to align with other patient exams. Educating patients about procedures, answering their questions, and documenting vital information such as blood pressure readings and post-procedure follow-ups will be key aspects of your responsibilities. You'll manage records using Radiology Information Systems and other hospital tools as needed. This position involves assisting physicians with procedures like needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies by scanning patients, marking body areas, determining angles for punctures, and maintaining sterile techniques. You will adhere to radiology and ultrasound policies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards. Additionally, you'll position and transfer patients, maintain department equipment, and order or stock supplies as needed. Your role will include attending staff meetings, participating in in-services and workshops for professional development, and taking calls for ultrasound procedures. You will also oversee and evaluate student ultrasound technologists, contributing to the growth of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
