  • Compensation Range - based on experience: $$252,660 (10th percentile) to $375,133 (75th percentile)

This position will encompass Medical Director responsibilities for the PHP/IOP program for adolescents and adults. Additionally, this candidate will supervise APPs.

What you will do:

  • Provide physician leadership and psychiatric treatment to a Partial Hospitalization Program and a Psychiatric outpatient clinic
  • Work on-site 5 days per week with PHP/IOP and clinic patients.
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach.
  • Administer and manage psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide care recommendations.
  • Educate and support patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications:

  • DEA registration required
  • Board certification or Board eligible in Psychiatry Required
  • Current Illinois medical license required or pending
