Salary Grade 005: $82,100 - $102,600 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

Your role in achieving results:

We are looking for an Lean Manufacturing Specialist in our Appleton, WI or Eden Prairie, MN location.

The mission of the Lean Manufacturing Specialist will be to ensure the sustainability of Agropur Operating Systems (AOS) in order to maintain manufacturing excellence. In addition, this position will be participating in the implementation of new work methods to minimize the plant's global operational costs for all services of manufacturing, quality, warehousing, and maintenance in order to ensure our progression at the operations level.

  • Implement the tools and philosophy of Operational excellence in department.

  • Demonstrate commitment to the Continuous improvement by advocating zero loss mindset, work to standard, employee ownership and servant leadership.

  • Help create and grow site knowledge and capabilities of best practice about continuous improvement (from floor operators to VP's).

  • Ensure continuous improvement culture and pillar implementation is sustained by the local leadership.

  • Support and Coach the operators, line lead and the high management process as well as the intern coaches.

  • Conduct health checks of DMS on all shifts and identify measures to improve.

  • Participate at the daily meetings identifying improvement opportunities to eliminate top losses. Be involved in the focus to deliver results and buy-in from ops teams.

  • Provide effective coaching to the Line Structure teams to develop and execute 90-day plans and future compelling business needs base on continuous improvement mentality.

  • Act as a support to the Line Structure teams and coaches in their daily tasks and actions

  • Prepare reports and statistics.

What we are looking for to deliver these results:

  • Bachelor's Degree or in relevant field (Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.)

  • 80% of travel required through Agropur's U.S. plants

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing (continuous improvement, production, quality, or maintenance)

  • Knowledge of Continuous improvement methodology required.

  • Food consumer packaged goods experience preferred.

  • Six Sigma Experience, Lean Experience, 5S Experience, required.
