 Lead and manage a staff of ~30 technicians, including all performance management-related tasksSupervise the production floor, including daily schedules and workflowProvide technical support to the welding teamWork with management and engineering teams to streamline the fit-up and welding processesAssist with the tooling and fixturing designs required for weld / fit-up operationResponsible for control of production weld qualityApply welding codes and hold high workmanship standards with the production teamEnforce site and personnel safetyReview work instructions and make change recommendations when neededAssess candidates and provide recommendations in the hiring processResponsible for planning and scheduling work, assigning work, and assessing completed workCommunicate how successful performance will be measured and provide collaborative direction to team members; recommend performance standards and ratings
 
 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
 
 Bachelor's degree or associate degree and 4+ years of gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), or gas metal arc welding (GMAW) experience or 8+ years of professional experience in metal fabrication2+ years of experience in a leadership role
 
 PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
 
 
 Experience managing more than 10 employeesAbility to interpret drawings and weld symbols per AWS D17.1Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.6, and D1.2Experience with pipe, orbital tube welding (OTW), and/or other fluid system fabrication, welding, and assemblyGeneral welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment knowledge, theory, application, maintenance and testingFabrication of large-scale welded assemblies to tight dimensional tolerancesTrade school certificate
