Position Description:
 
 
 Purpose 
Under direct supervision, provide basic support to laboratory functions including maintenance, operation and inventory of equipment and supplies. Support research investigators as needed. 
Primary Functions 
* Assist with analysis of laboratory datasets, statistical quantification, and create figures for visualization 
* Participate in meetings with principal investigator and research staff and evaluate/interpret the validity of data as needed. 
* Make and supply media buffers and water to research areas as needed. 
* Assist in organizing and setup lab supplies and equipment for individual research investigators. 
* Assist with inventory and record of supplies. 
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities 
Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills. Familiarity with Imaris software, spine analyses, and R experience preferable.

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis 
Minimum Required Education: High school education or equivalent 
Minimum Required Experience: 3 months of previous lab experience required 
Preferred Education: Some college level education 
Preferred Experience: >6 months of previous lab experience
