Jira Administrator
Manage, customize, and configure Jira and Confluence Server for any software or business team
Position Description
Contractis seeking an Atlassian Administrator for a growing government client located in Ft. Collins, CO. The ideal candidate will work on an agile team to administer Atlassian applications including Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
Responsibilities
As Atlassian Administrator you will create new fields, screens, workflows and related Jira components, modify existing issue types, screens, permissions and schemes, and provide maintenance and support to existing projects. Stays up to date on industry best practices and makes suggestions and proposals to expand and improve current implementation. Provides training and support to project teams through blogs, articles and internal sessions. Writes Groovy scripts to automate procedures and integrates with other development tools.
Skills
  • 2+ years of experience administering Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd)
  • Must effectively prioritize work, troubleshoot issues, communicate effectively and complete tasks on time
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability
  • Take ownership of tasks, dig into the details, thoroughly validate changes and communicate updates
  • Design and build solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable
  • Collaborate with development and operations to design, develop and deliver new services, workflows and capabilities
  • Experience managing issue types, workflows, permissions, post functions and other JIRA components
  • Must be able to build filters, custom dashboards and reports
  • Experience working on an agile development team, Scrum preferred
  • Experience with two or more of; Crowd, JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Splunk, Zabbix
  • Experience managing task tracking, build and/or source management applications for multiple development teams
  • Able to manage applications in multiple environments (dev, stage, prod) with consistent, repeatable processes
  • Experience building, managing and enforcing standards
  • Solid understanding of Confluence and integration with JIRA
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues with JIRA, Confluence
  • Proficiency with JQL and confidence building advanced reports
Bonus Skills (Multiple Required)
  • Experience programming/scripting (JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Shell or similar)
  • Basic HTML, CSS, JS, SQL skills
  • Background and understanding of API's and creating custom add-ons using Atlassian SDK's
  • Experience with LinuxOS
  • Experience using and managing common add-ons like Portfolio, EazyBI, ScriptRunner, and the Bob Swift suite.

Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs.As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $92,000.00 - $136,000.00.
