 SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER LOCATION: Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Secret CERTIFICATION: N/A TRAVEL: Limited; As Needed SALARY: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annually Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer located in Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK. This role provides support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/ES). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Electronic Systems (AFPEO/ES) has the collective AFMC mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Electronic Systems portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/ES is headquartered at Hanscom AFB, MA, with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS. This position is with AFLCMC/ESA and will provide systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, test, operation, sustainment, and system disposal. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS  
 Bachelors Degree or 15 years of directly related experience with 8 years in a DoD settingExperience in requirements development, production and deployment, operation and supportExperience in architectures development and implementationExperience with modeling & simulation (including Model-Based Systems Engineering)Experience in verification & validation, technical data package development/sustainment, and configuration management principlesExperience with network architectures, embedded systems, and application deploymentFamiliarity with DoD Acquisition processes (Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, EMD, Production, Deployment)Must be a US citizen PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS   
 Bachelor's in professional engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 12 years of experience (5 in DoD) or
  
   Masters Degree from ABET-accredited program with 10 years of experience (5 in DoD)Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience (electrical preferred)Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree requiredExperience leading technical teams highly desiredExperience with Air Traffic Control systems is a plusTechnical Skills

You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter. 
 Provide systems, electrical, and/or mechanical engineering support for new and legacy DoD systemsAccomplish and coordinate engineering tasks for modifications and systems upgradesProvide support to customers including data analysis, modification programs, repair requirements, reliability/maintainability actions, and worldwide user supportAssist in designing, planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and documentation during any phase of test and evaluation programs, including applicable FAA certifications and proceduresProvide engineering review of programs throughout the life-cycleReview and ensure all engineering-related documents are accurate and completeParticipate in the development of system specifications and system architecture productsParticipate in test and evaluation support, including planning, test conduct, and evaluation of results against operational requirementsAssist in scheduling and securing required test resources in support of project and program office objectivesProvide technical evaluation of contractor proposalsMonitor, assess, and report on test and evaluation efforts; provide recommendations for test facility improvementsSupport development of system and program technical plans, including review of technical documents, participation in working groups, tracking risks/issues, and reviewing test plans, procedures, and data Air Force EPASS HB TINKER #CJ |
