Research Scientist, Norton Neuroscience Institute Downtown Research

The Research Scientist, will work with NHC clinicians to catalyze the design and implementation of research studies and increase manuscript and abstract productivity.

The NNI Research team is looking for a Research Scientist with experience in studying various aspects of molecular, immunological, and biochemical analyses related to disease pathogenesis, particularly in Cytokine expression, inflammation, and cytotoxicity. He/She will work extensively with human patient blood samples, e.g., plasma/serum, and should be well-versed in performing various laboratory assays, including ELISA, MSD multiplex, 10X genomics, and PCRs. He/She will also be involved in blood cell isolation for FACS and fecal sample processing for metagenomics and metabolomics analyses. Research scientists will also participate in data interpretation and analysis and will present the outcomes in weekly lab meetings.

Required:

• Three years of experience in the design of research studies and the development and submission of peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts.
• Master Degree

Desired:

• Five years of evidence of accepted clinical research manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. Experience in an academic setting.
• Doctorate Degree
