Job SummaryThe Mortgage Senior Loan Processor is responsible for ensuring loans are processed accurately and in a timely manner, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and investor guidelines. This role requires proactive communication with clients, Loan Officers, Underwriters, and other stakeholders. A strong understanding of residential lending regulations and documentation is essential. The position also involves identifying incomplete or inaccurate information and influencing others with diplomacy and trust.
 
 Essential Functions
 
 Review all loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and complianceMonitor and maintain an application pipelineReceive and review client documentation related to income, assets, and creditSubmit completed files via the loan origination system to underwritingCommunicate with Loan Officers, clients, service providers, and partners to gather and clear underwriting conditionsProvide exceptional service to internal and external customersOrder and verify third-party documentation and vendor invoicesObtain property surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff informationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance standards and regulationsMentor and guide less experienced Mortgage Loan ProcessorsReview hazard insurance for coverage and carrier ratingReview title work for liens, entity issues, and seasoning requirementsReview flood certificates for flood statusFlexibility to work varying hours and overtime as neededPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without noticeComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.  High School Diploma or equivalent experience (required) Work Experience 
 5+ years residential mortgage processing experience on agency products (preferred)1+ years purchase processing experience (preferred) Skills 
 Proficiency in MS Windows and Office (Word, Excel, etc.)Knowledge of RESPA and general mortgage/consumer lending regulationsManaging the end-to-end workflow of mortgage applications, including document collection, verification, and submission to underwriting.Strong math and analytical skillsFoundational knowledge of tax returns and loan products (FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo preferred; CP, USDA, HELOC a plus)Ability to organize, verify, and track large volumes of borrower documentation with precision and speedExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailTeam-oriented with strong networking and relationship-building skillsHigh integrity and trustworthinessDemonstrated customer service excellenceSkill in identifying potential red flags in borrower profiles and escalating concerns appropriately Core Competencies

Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
