ETL Developer Intermediate

This is not a traditional ETL Developer role. The work is related to data movement, manipulation and automation.
This position will operate within IT Data Services, and work directly with Data Engineering and Architecture teams.
The ETL Developer Intermediate will participate in the following functions:
  • Builds, tests, and deploys complex data movement workflows to ensure efficient and accurate movement of data from operational systems/locations to internal/external partners.
  • Learns and utilizes team standards and participates in peer reviews.
  • Documents work and keeps existing documentation up to date
  • Performs 24x7 on-call rotation duties including system monitoring and issue research and resolution
  • Prepares for and participates in working with cross-functional teams and departments to develop and execute comprehensive unit and integrated test plans to ensure the reliability of data movement processes and workflows.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
The ETL Developer Intermediate prepares processes for the development, maintenance, and implementation of efficient Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and workflows to move data from operational systems to a centralized Data Warehouse. Working under moderate supervision, this position manages the projects and processes required to ensure ETL solutions are efficient and scalable. This position also serves as a mentor to other team members.
Guides the design, coding, testing, and deployment of complex and scalable ETL workflows to ensure efficient and accurate movement of data from operational systems to the Data Warehouse.
Participates in all phases of data integration discovery, development, and support.
Establishes and reviews the techniques applied for ETL processes to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence with team standards.
Ensures comprehensive and quality technical documentation is complete and appropriate for all ETL solutions.
Participates in working with cross-functional teams and departments to develop and execute comprehensive unit and integrated test plans to ensure the reliability of ETL processes and workflows.
Serves as a mentor to other team members and establishes policies and procedures for the team.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required: Bachelor's Degree
