Position Summary: Leads the brand design team at Hannaford, driving the creation of impactful assets and elements that directly support business objectives. Champions a customer-centric approach to ensure the brand consistently shows up in relevant and compelling ways. Defines, evolves, and enforces brand design guidelines across the organization, fostering alignment and excellence in every touchpoint. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Manages and develops a high functioning team of designers that are inspired and enabled to bring the Hannaford brand to life for customers and for associates. Translates brand strategy and consumer insights into compelling designs that support a powerful and distinctive brand identity. Works in partnership with Brand Marketing Strategy team to add creative insights and ideas in developing marketing concepts and plans. Leads and develops creative that is on brand and delivers against the strategic and creative brief. Works in partnership with Director of Brand Creative & Design, Manager Brand Creative & Experience and Manager Social & Digital for seamless alignment of brand standards, messaging and design across all communication tactics. Works closely with Director of Brand Creative & Design on establishing and keeping the brand guidelines current to maintain a consistent brand voice, personality & design for the organization. Communicates the company's brand standards to various stakeholders and partners inside and outside of the organization. Leads and manages the development of Creative concepts for large or complex internal campaigns that meet company goals, sales metrics, and timelines. Will work closely with lead print and digital designer, attend kickoffs and any necessary subsequent meetings to support lead designers, review and provide feedback on design work in collaboration with Managers, Directors, and Leadership, and schedule milestone creative check-ins with the broader team. Responsible for outsourcing and managing freelance creative resources as necessary. Manages contracts and agreements for freelance services & equipment. Key creative Marketing lead for developing decor design and brand messaging design. Serves as primary resource for design counsel and opportunities at the company.
