Job Description

Engineering Team Lead directs the activities of an integrated hardware/software systems design function. You will oversee the preparation of new or modified designs, ensure documentation packages are complete, maintain part and project number assignments, drawing reproduction, and customer documentation. You will develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Additionally, we ask that you do resource planning such as assigning direct reports to projects, assessing staffing levels and utilization. You will manage technical documentation function including engineering/manufacturing documentation, such as drawings, bills of materials, parts lists specifications and engineering change orders. You also ensure that documentation and production projects meet established quality standards, budgets, and deadlines. Additionally, you will manage engineering services like drafting, design support, and document control. You will report to the Manager, Engineering and will be hybrid working out of Mequon WI.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee customer's requirements and the development of system solution and its applicable control configuration/architecture
  • Develop and execute industry / application team plan
  • Understand different project scopes and know when a change request is required
  • Actively contribute to the development of business team strategic plan
  • Coordinate resources between different teams and projects
  • Solve complex business problems associated with assigned business segment from order execution through startup.
  • May participate in the identification, implementation, and successful proliferation of focused applications in the assigned industry/application
  • Anticipate the need for change and supports company-wide programs, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Develop or help develop your department engineering standards and ensure the team maintains compliance.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 10% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years experience with control systems application.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years experience with direct customer contact and suppliers.
  • Proven success at simultaneously managing multiple customer projects.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet business commitments.
  • Further education in business administration, management, operations, or project management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley Powerflex drives, and PLC's. Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to industrial control systems including the NEC, NFPA79 and UL508A.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, CREO, NEWS, IFS, and SAP
