Temp Parttime Faculty - Jewelry and Metals Instructor

The UNM Department of Fine Arts invites applicants to apply for a Temporary Part-Time Faculty (Adjunct/Unit 2) member to teach one of the following subject areas for Spring 2026 this posting is primarily for face-to-face instruction delivery of courses.

These positions will be hired on an as needed basis dependent on student enrollment, course offering matrix, and graduation requirements. The specific courses include, but are not limited to, the following:

ARTS1810 - Jewelry and Small Metal Construction I

This course introduces the basic techniques, materials, and tools traditionally used in the creation of jewelry and/or small-scale sculptural objects.

We propose a base salary of $1,135.26 to $1,227.89 per credit hour depending on successful candidates' qualifications. This posting is for face to face delivery of courses.

Minimum Qualifications:

To teach or develop courses in the field or subfield for which you are applying are determined by Higher Learning Commission's accreditation requirements for faculty, and must be met in these ways:

* A master's degree in fine arts, or relevant degree with minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield in which they teach or tested experience that is determined to be equivalent to the degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution, particularly a community college.

* Demonstrated experience in remote delivery of instruction.

* A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
