 SME Task Lead - Unified Communications 
     Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the organization's telecommunications infrastructure Installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes all telephone systems and services, voicemail and PBX communication systems, and video conferencing environmentsAnalyzes and resolves telecommunications circuit issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and supports user needs where requiredManages and administers entire telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response, and video conferencing systemsDevelops long-range telecommunications development plans in accordance with stated business strategyDesigns and oversees telecommunications projects with a goal to improving or expanding the current infrastructureDevelops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and training plans for telecommunication systems administration and appropriate useDevelops telecommunications procurement plans by reviewing previous history, market conditions, and specifications or technical data packagesProposes telecommunications contract recommendations based on current usage, future needs, and customer requirementsFormulates and develops communications requirment and design standardsPerforms complex studies to determine networking capacities and reliability, and make recommendations to augment and/or enhance existing communications networksProvides technical problem diagnoses and resolution support for all associated subsystems, including line monitoring, modem loop-back tests, LAN/WAN performance monitoring and terminal failure determinationProvides hardware and software installation and configuration supportProcures and manages a variety of telecommunications supplies and servicesReceives, organizes, and maintains telecommunications contract documentationManages telecommunications contract procurements and renewalsWorks with end-users to establish service level agreements (SLAs) based on user requirementsAssesses need for any system reconfigurations, makes recommendations, and executes them as requiredConducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of telecommunications equipment procurement and development effortsInteracts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure communications products and services in a timely and professional mannerAdministers all contracts for telecommunications equipment and servicesAdministers add, move, and change requests from end-users as well as new line installations as requiredMonitors and identifies capacity and performance issues for telecommunications traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telecommunications systemsGenerates telecommunications usage and inventory reports as requiredConducts testing and development of disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systemsQualifications
 
 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
     Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience4 - 9 years experienceThis position is expected to have the equivalent skills of Cisco CCNP Collaboration or higher certification, Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching certification or equivalent. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  This position is expected to have the equivalent skills of Cisco CCNP Collaboration or higher certification, Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching certification or equivalent. Experience in VoIP and have at least 5 years working experience in a Unified Communications environment and as well as Cisco unified communications (UCS) configurations and operations, and UC applications - to include WebEx, Avaya Communicator, Skype, and associated unified communications protocols. This position will be the lead for the unified communications systems subject matter expertise within the team.
