Job Summary

DRS Naval Power Systems has an opening for a Contracts Administrator to provide expert contracts support for opportunities in steam turbines and rotating electrical machinery. You will work closely with program management, supply chain, and engineering to achieve objectives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, draft, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and agreements (including teaming, MOUs, MOAs, consultant/sales representative agreements).
  • Review solicitations, contract terms/conditions, amendments, and modifications; identify risks and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Prepare, analyze, and support pricing proposals, cost controls, and TINA sweeps; participate in management and program reviews.
  • Administer contract performance, deliverables, and billing/collections; monitor performance to ensure adherence to terms.
  • Provide contractual guidance to leadership, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience; NCMA membership and CPCM certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, government contracting processes (sole source, competitive procurements), and contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.).
  • Advanced expertise in contract terms/conditions, IP/software and data rights, source selection, and cost/price analysis.
  • Experienced in contract administration, including subcontract flow downs, property administration, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out, and records retention.
  • Skilled in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts, subcontracts, POs, teaming, and other agreements.
  • Proven ability to brief, negotiate, review, and monitor complex contracts/subcontracts.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

U.S. Citizenship required.

The salary range for this position is $70,744 to $101,164 per year.This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
