Description
PURPOSE: To deliver the division's unique technical needs while also being a strategic partner to internal teams and clients by identifying, designing, and implementing technology-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance user experience, and support business objectives including IT and SOC security measures. JOB DESCRIPTION: This role plays a critical role in aligning technology with business needs. This position will assist in identifying and implementing workflow improvements, solving operational challenges, and enhancing user and customer experiences. The Technical Solutions Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan for and provide successful solution implementations, ensure operational effectiveness of its hardware and software, and liaise with corporate IT to ensure adherence to IT policies and protocols. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and analyze customer requirements
- Design and propose technical solutions using appropriate platforms, tools, and frameworks
- Configure, test, and deploy scanning-related hardware and software applications for successful integrations
- Document processes, workflows, and scan system configurations as needed
- Train end-users and create support and training materials as needed
- Stay current with emerging company and industry technologies for purposes of better serving clients as well as improving operational efficacy and efficiencies
- Testing and feedback documentation of pre-released, soft-released, or released scanning-related hardware and software
- Interface and liaise with product marketing and/or engineering groups as needed for supporting internal User Acceptance Testing (UAT), escalated issues, or support
- Occasional travel for various business purposes including supporting limited marketing events, vendor reviews or visits, or highly escalated support initiatives.
- Assist with technical billing processes as required
- Ensure operational division is adhering to IT and physical security protocols
- Interfacing with current vendors and assisting with key vendor evaluation and selection
- Help manage delegation and completion of Service Organization and Controls (SOC) as assigned by yearly external audit
- Help manage and complete customer contracts and agreements
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5 years in the document imaging industry in a technical support role, systems integration, or solutions design
- Effective English speaking and writing capabilities
- Proficiency in MS365 Applications
- Experience in Project Management or CPM a plus
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Transact Query Language (T-SQL)
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) knowledge is a plus
- C# and VB Programming knowledge and skills can be useful in this role.
