Senior Homologation Engineer - Automotive Compliance Your Tasks
- Provide technical advice on global regulatory and homologation requirements for vehicles, systems, and components (focus on EU, USA, Canada).
- Execute and witness type approval tests for vehicles, systems, and components according to UNECE regulations, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Interface with national regulatory authorities (e.g., KBA, SNCH, MOT, NSAI, STA, NHTSA, EPA/CARB) and other agencies as needed.
- Identify homologation requirements and monitor processes for new vehicle types to ensure legal compliance.
- Validate technical data and compile approval-relevant documentation for submission to authorities.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation to approval bodies.
- Participate in and influence working groups developing regulations and standards.
- Conduct training and provide technical advisory in homologation.
- Support technical sales activities related to homologation.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in engineering (vehicle technology, mechanical, electrical, or similar).
- 5-7 years of professional experience in homologation, preferably in electric vehicles and new technologies.
- Signatory designation in EU homologation scopes.
- Strong understanding of US and Canadian certification processes.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards such as FMVSS, EPA/CARB, IIHS, RCAR, NCAP, CMVSS.
- Ability to interpret global regulatory requirements and anticipate future automotive legislation.
- Experience in project management and automotive sector projects.
- Strong client orientation, initiative, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills for technical discussions with clients.
- Willingness to travel.
