We are currently seeking a Workplace Violence Program Manager to join our team and develop our organizational approach to workplace violence prevention. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Provides oversight, maintenance, and evaluation of ChristianaCare's comprehensive workplace violence program.

  • Conducts an annual proactive risk assessment identifying gaps, establishing priorities, short- and long-term goals and recommending strategies and plans to mitigate risk and prevent workplace violence.

  • Maintains and creates policies, procedures and resources aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Partners with leaders, content experts, departments, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated workplace violence program and response.

  • Manages the day-to-day operations and serves as a point of contact for the workplace violence program.

  • Oversees measurement and the analysis of data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Leverages and prioritizes technology to mitigate or prevent workplace violence.

  • Continuously stays informed of workplace violence laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Partners with the Center for Work life wellbeing on a program of caregiver support and follow-up of events.

  • Establishes a comprehensive workplace violence communication plan.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Healthcare, Public Safety, Human Resources, Law Enforcement) field required. Master's degree in a related field preferred. De-escalation certification training required or obtained within 6 months of hire. 2-4 years of workplace violence related experience. CPHQ, CPPS, or Project Management certification preferred. Experience leading workplace violence prevention strategies required, we prefer prior experience completing this work within the healthcare space.

Hourly Pay Range: $38.22 - $61.16 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
