The Management Information Analyst will be responsible for providing operational performance and insight reporting and analysis. This role involves working closely with various business areas to understand their processes, workflows, objectives, and information reporting requirements. You will be required to design, build, and publish performance insights through complex data analytics, utilizing business tools such as Databricks and Power BI.

You will support the business as a lead enterprise data and reporting resource, enabling data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization. This includes managing the creation and delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to key stakeholders. You will take ownership of collecting accurate, clean, and impactful data, and successfully translate data intelligence into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, you will contribute to corporate goals, including growing sales, reducing expenses, and increasing profitability.

Responsibilities
    Provide insights that support key business operations functions, including the acquisition value chain, Inforce insurance servicing teams, claims provision, and financial performance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues, conduct root cause data analysis, enabling continuous improvement.
  • Develop reports and data visuals from both customer requests and proactive inquisitive, inclusive of time estimates for construction, testing and presentation.
  • Communicate reporting outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders, explaining data any assumptions and limitations.
  • Perform complex data quality assessments on data sources and products, ensuring referential and historical integrity.
  • Perform functional and gap analysis to support new and existing reports, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for supporting the Operational planning leadership team in the creation and delivery of operational data that encourages and inspires growth, cost efficiency and customer focused delivery.
  • Collaborate with data and governance to ensure data governance standards, including data quality, privacy, and security, to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies.
  • Demonstrate the capability and desire to learn emerging skills and/or programming languages that improve Operational Planning and Forecasting through automation.
  • Working closely with the business planners to assist in model upkeep and data modelling that supports time series, multi linear regression and holt winters modelling techniques.
Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Over 5 years of experience in Data analysis based roles with a proven track record of delivery.
  • Advanced understanding of data cataloging tools, SQL, DAX, and data modeling.
  • Experience in data quality management.
  • Proven ability to optimize business processes in a data-driven manner.
  • Skilled in extracting data from various databases and systems for enterprise-grade reporting.
  • Preferred experience in statistical modeling techniques and forecasting methodologies.
  • General knowledge of life insurance company operations is preferred.

Skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and VB is required. Familiarity with Python data engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with databases and writing SQL & DAX queries to access data is required.
  • Proficiency in Power BI is required.
  • Preferred experience with cloud computing (Azure, AWS, Databricks).
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and the ability to understand core business success drivers.
  • Proven ability to present in an appropriate way based on the audience. Providing meaningful business insights from data that assist in business strategic decision making, not just produce reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow directions, and execute tasks independently.
  • Capability to plan and execute all phases of a project with both group and independent responsibilities.
  • Preferred ability to assist, train, and mentor other staff members.

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $90,800 - $124,900 annually. This is a remote opportunity, operating on EST.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
