The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University stands at the forefront of integrating community-based medical education and clinical care, with a focus on training socially accountable physicians, scientists, and health professionals dedicated to community service. As an academic and clinical affiliate of Baptist Health and Nicklaus Children's Hospital, the College of Medicine offers a unique environment for innovation and growth.

The Herberth Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) and Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) aims to develop a group of cutting-edge basic science researchers in Neuroscience, Cardiology, Oncology and Orthopedics. HWCOM and BHSF seek applicants for various full-time, tenure or tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor within the Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine. We seek applicants with an excellent record of achievement and research excellence to join and collaborate with our interdisciplinary and interactive faculty and to perform basic and translational research in Neuroscience, Cardiology, Oncology and Orthopedics, publish in major peer-reviewed journals and maintain an independent, extramurally funded research program. Candidates are also expected to contribute to graduate and/or medical school education



Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.

Must have current extramural funding (R01 level equivalent)

Should have creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization



Desired Qualifications

Expertise in epigenomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, genomics or bioinformatics highly encouraged
