Our client is seeking a Synthetic Organic Chemist
to support its small-molecule drug discovery programs. This position plays a critical role in designing and synthesizing high-quality compounds to accelerate structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies for oncology targets. Working closely with internal teams and external CROs, this role is central to advancing early discovery projects in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute efficient, scalable synthetic routes for small-molecule analogs (milligram to multi-gram scale).
• Support SAR campaigns through parallel synthesis and application of modern synthetic methods.
• Troubleshoot complex synthetic challenges independently and creatively.
• Collaborate with internal teams and CRO partners to coordinate and optimize synthetic efforts.
• Maintain detailed, compliant electronic lab notebooks for IP and regulatory documentation.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry and multi-step synthesis strategies.
• Experience in purification and structural characterization techniques (NMR, LC-MS, etc.)
• Experience with milligram to decagram-scale synthesis of intermediates and final compounds.
• Strong ability to deliver analog libraries and manage CRO relationships.
• Excellent documentation habits and communication skills; collaborative and detail-oriented.
